The Lions’ Chase 5K & The Lions’ Cub Fun Run & Obstacle Course

When: Saturday, November 9, 2019 @ 10am
Registration begins at 8:30am


About: 5K begins in the parking lot of David’s CBC. The course will then take runners to Route 25 where they will turn left on to 25 for a short period of time before turning left on Hoy Road. The course will continue on until runners reach Grange Road where they will take another left and wind around to St. David’s Road and will again turn left and end at David’s parking lot.

Course is flat, small rolling hills, road surface, with great country views. Great for all levels of runners, beginners to pros.

Registration and Entry Fees: $30.00, includes race t-shirt, swag bag and a chicken barbecue meal.

Pre-registration forms and fee must be postmarked by the dates shown above with the proper fees.

A free tee-shirt, a bag full of local swag, and a chicken barbecue meal will be included in all registrations.

Same-day registrants are not guaranteed a tee-shirt. 

Same day registration begins at 8:30 am and ends at 9:45 am; race begins at 10:00 a.m.


Post-race Activities: Top runners in each age group will be recognized and prizes will be awarded. CASH PRIZES TO TOP OVERALL MALE AND TOP OVERALL FEMALE RUNNER. 

Entertainment will be provided by Phoenix Storm Productions. Additional sandwiches, baked goods and drinks will be available for purchase for all runners and spectators.

RM Timing Software: This 5K will be a gun chip start. Through a grant secured from Mid Penn Bank, NDCS was able to acquire a chip timing system. We look forward to the new technology and being able to serve those that support our race with the newest and most up to date equipment, making the end of the race statistics and awards to go more smoothly and be more efficient and accurate.

The Lions’ cub fun run & OBSTACLE course

Kids 12 & under can run a 1 mile Fun Run/obstacle course which will be set up on the soccer fields at David’s CBC.

Fun Run (Children 12 & under, includes a t-shirt): $15.00 but does not include a chicken barbecue meal.

Fun Run (NDCS Students, no t-shirt): FREE, but a t-shirt can be purchased separately.

Phoenix Storms Production will be providing musical entertainment.. 

We will have a bounce house, face painting, crafts, shirt signing and more! Registered runners will receive a chicken barbecue meal but additional chicken barbecue meals will be for sale. Even if you aren’t a runner please join us to celebrate our 25th year in Christian education.

To continue our efforts, we need your support. On Saturday, November 9, 2019, we will be holding our 9th Annual 5K this year entitled “The LIon’s Chase 5K”. Our goal with this event is not only to raise needed funds for our school, but also to raise an awareness within neighboring communities of the benefits of local Christian education.

 There are two ways you can help. First, you may become an Official Sponsor of the race.

Sponsors will be listed on tee-shirts which will be given to all registered racers (we are anticipating 250-300
runners). Sponsoring options are as follows:

$100 provides your business listed in 1” font + advertising on our race website
$200 provides your business listed in 1 1/2” font, advertising on our race website + 1 race t-shirt
$300 provides your business listed in 2” font , advertising on our race website + 2 race t-shirts

As a sponsor, you are also given the opportunity to provide business cards, brochures, flyers, promotional pens, etc. to be placed in swag bags which will be given to all runners. 

We are also in need of door prizes for our post-race social. Your business will be recognized verbally and in written form on sponsor posters during the event, and you will have the same option as a sponsor to provide promotional materials for the swag bags.
